My Sony DVD-RW blank DVD discs not recognized, please HELP!?
It worked fine for Monts and then spat discs showing the message: "Unable to write to the disk, insert a blank disc, you know what can be wrong? by the way I use Nero I have also reinstalled Windows and still have the same problems.
1.Determine if the optical drive has power. 2.Verify that the optical drive is detected by the system BIOS Desktop 3.Remove disc optical drive if present. 4.Delete the UpperFilters and LowerFilters Registry entry. To delete the registry entry and the entry UpperFilters registry Registry, expand the following registry path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Class Under Class, click (4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318). In the right pane, click UpperFilters, and then click Delete. Click Yes when prompted to delete the registry value. In the right pane, click LowerFilters and then click Delete. Click Yes when prompted to delete the registry value. Quit Registry Editor. To do this, click Exit from the File menu. Restart the computer 5.Update the optical drive firmware.
