For all yous w/ an xbox 360 or know alot about em

Some dude at my works got an xbox 360 and hes got mad games that he dont even play anymore that he would just gimme to play for however long i want, so basically if i buy an xbox ill never have 2 pay for games cuz he beats em all in a week and nvr plays em again. Anyways, what xbox should i get? is a 20 gb one good enough? and about xbox live i seen there were diff ones like gold and silver... what one should i get? Any other Xbox info i should know cuz i been playin playstations all my life but if i dont g2 pay for all these expensive ass games then fuck ps3
