We will be performing server maintenance and rolling out a new patch on September 9th at 5am PDT, 1200 GMT. The SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation game servers will be unavailable during the maintenance. The server maintenance is not expected to last longer than 1 1/2 hours.

SOCOM: Confrontation Public Beta 1.10 Patch

* Adds support for European EULAs.
* Adds support for dedicated servers located in Europe and Australia.
* Addresses a number of stability and late joining issues.
* Reduce the volume of the proximity chat by 50%.

The server maintenance and patch are not meant to address all issues. We will have more updates to both the server and client in the future.

Kinda pissed about the proximity chat. I'm hoping this improves the map loading times, but i doubt it.

Nice, I actually like it KD, the proximity chat can get annoying especially if you have the volume on loud and someones mic is all staticy..

I like using it against the other team. Anyone notice any differences in regards to getting kicked, or long load times? Im at work.

I like the proximity chat too. I think it's pretty funny to here someone's instant message chime go off and proxychat picks it up. I heard one guy move his mic on his headset above his head and I was able to track him down by that. The team proxychat I could take or leave but I guess it's nice if someone is tying up the mic and you want to coordinate with someone if you're going the same way.

I wish they would add what room friends and clanmates are in. I guess that wasn't available in Fireteam Bravo which Slant6 also put out which worries me, so I am hoping that it is just a beta thing and it will be in the final game or a beta patch.

anyone else seem to kill alot more/easier today? or is this just me? it seems like hit detection or accuracy were tweaked a little, cuz i was dominating all day today when i played 8-0 11-4 7-1 17-5...so did something change or am i just that good lol?

somethin MUST have changed then peng, j/k. I was doin better yesterday but I dont think it had anything to do with the update cuz socom.com woulda mentioned updating hit detection.

Just dled the patch n played for a couple hours today and wow. It really helped, Im actually starting to like the game a little bit more. No longer waiting 15 minutes for a game to load.
