Were'nt they going to take out the component that makes the system backwards compatible in the reduced price system? The article didn't say anything about that.

That is correct. The new PS3s will not be able to play PS2 games.

I got a Tv and money for the PS3 now but no internet.. (im on dialup) Damn this sux, wont have cable till at least next month..

Exactly. And I wish there was like a 20 gig one or smaller, because I'm only going to be playing 3 games on PS3. Confrontation, Socom 4 when it comes out, and Guitar Hero 3.
