VoIP with Skype out?
They told me if I buy a VoIP device that can connect directly to my DSL router and that way I can make free calls (Skype is not necessary). I gave 3 models to test Linksys CIT400, VOIP8411 Philips and Netgear SPH200. All these devices require Skype. Is the information I gave correct? Is there any way out there, so I can use my DSL connection to make calls out from Skype or something like that? Thanks
You still need someone to provide the Internet connection between the device and the public switched telephone network (PSTN). Perhaps misunderstanding. Probably told you dial out using Skype on your PC.
