Is the Sony Handycam DCR-SX40 good video camera?
Thinking about getting one for Christmas and everything looks good, but wanted to hear some opinions. Also I will be able to put the videos I do on DVD?
I see nothing particularly wrong with the camcorder, but I would not buy one. Depending on my needs Primary / want, or I would go for the least expensive HD MHS-CM1 Webbie which gives HD quality in exchange for a lower optical zoom (5X) or DCR DVD650 slightly more expensive than $ 10 you most similar record HD to SD (Standard Definition, not) quality video to Memory Stick or mini DVD. Sony camcorders come with editing software and to make your own DVD movies is not particularly difficult (assuming you have a DVD burner in your computer)
